This Week
The voice of the suffering savior, Jesus, can be heard in the prophet Isaiah’s words and the pleading of the psalm. We are invited into the agony of our Lord in the extended reading of the story of Jesus’ passion. In the second reading, we who have put on Christ in holy baptism are urged to let the mind of Christ be our own. Lent leads us to this holy moment. Embrace it. Sunday - March 20 is Palm Sunday. As you may recall we usually have a procession from the chapel, around the block, and into the church on Palm Sunday. Betty, Sophie and Harper have made some pretty neat noise makers for anyone who would like to use one on Sunday, plus we'll have some drums and other fun things for making joyful noise. Be sure to arrive by 10:30 to participate in the procession! Color of the day is Red. Hosanna in the Highest! We'll be decorating eggs from about 10:30 until 11:30 on Friday morning, all kids are welcome to help. Good Friday - Each year, members from the FT Community observe the Tenebrae, service of darkness, on the commemoration day of Jesus' death. 7 pm in the sanctuary.
