e-news!

First Trinity E-News

Today we gather to remember before God our sister, Norma, to give thanks for her life, to commend her to our merciful redeemer, and to comfort one another in our grief.  Details here.

We are having a great time at Catechemmunity.  Be sure to join us next week!

The fourth of the Old Testament promises providing a baptismal lens this Lent is the promise God makes to Moses: those who look on the bronze serpent will live. In today's gospel Jesus says he will be lifted up on the cross like the serpent, so that those who look to him in faith will live. When we receive the sign of the cross in baptism, that cross becomes the sign we can look to in faith, for healing, for restored relationship to God, for hope when we are dying.

Readings: Numbers 21:4-9, Psalm 107:1-3, 17-22, Ephesians 2:1-10, John 3:14-21
Tickets for Seder are now available online or by contacting the church office at 312-842-7390.
We've got a few baptisms Easter Sunday,
And, I think, a new member or few.
Wanna join in the fun?
Of course you do.

New Member Class March 28.  Click or contact Pr. Tom for details!
SPRING HAS SPRUNG and The Bridge is back on March 14 with there notorious MADAM BARKER, the musically delightful BABY MONEY, demented boy next door Kevin McCauliffe, and Brendan Meyer. Saturday 3/14 8pm. $10 suggested donation. YOU WILL HAVE FUN!

On Sunday, March 15 (2:30 PM) Windy City Opera is going to be doing a performance of La Boheme at First Trinity.  Suggested donation is $10 ($5 for students and seniors).  This is a neat opportunity to hear professional singers perform a classic opera right here in Bridgeport, for a great price!
